Multiagent Control of Airplane Wing Stability with “Feathers” under the Flexural Torsional Flutter

چکیده
This paper proposes a novel method for the unbounded oscillation prevention of an aircraft wing under flexural torsional flutter, innovative multiagent attitude to control with surface consisting managed rotating “feathers” (agents). Theoretical evaluation demonstrates its high aptitude avoid wing’s flexural-torsional vibrations via expansion model’s ability dampen oscillations. It potentially allows increasing aircraft’s speed without misgiving flutter. A new way based on Speed-Gradient methodology is suggested increase maximal possible flight flutter occurrence. Provided experiments demonstrate theoretical advantage approach rotation control.

Flexural-torsional stability of sandwich tapered I-beams with a functionally graded porous core
The present research deals with the flexural-torsional buckling analysis of sandwich web and/or flanges tapered doubly-symmetric I-beam. All section walls are composed of two metal face layers and a functionally graded (FG) porous core. It is assumed that the material properties of the porous core vary gradually in the longitudinal direction according to the simple power-law function considerin...
متن کاملSmithornis broadbills produce loud wing song by aeroelastic flutter of medial primary wing feathers.
Broadbills in the genus Smithornis produce a loud brreeeeet during a distinctive flight display. It has been posited that this klaxon-like sound is generated non-vocally with the outer wing feathers (P9, P10), but no scientific studies have previously addressed this hypothesis. Although most birds that make non-vocal communication sounds have feathers with a shape distinctively modified for sou...
متن کاملEvolution: Taking Wing with Weak Feathers
Scientists long thought they knew what the wings of early birds looked like. But new reconstructions of Archaeopteryx and its kin suggest quite different feather arrangements on their wings with profound implications for the evolution of flight.
متن کاملEffect of flexural and torsional wing flexibility on lift generation in hoverfly flight.
The effect of wing flexibility in hoverflies was investigated using an at-scale mechanical model. Unlike dynamically-scaled models, an at-scale model can include all phenomena related to motion and deformation of the wing during flapping. For this purpose, an at-scale polymer wing mimicking a hoverfly was fabricated using a custom micromolding process. The wing has venation and corrugation prof...
متن کاملCourting bird sings with stridulating wing feathers.
In birds and other vertebrates, most acoustic signals are produced pneumatically by moving air through a vocal apparatus. Here we describe a unique mechanism used to produce a tonal acoustic signal in vertebrates. Video recordings of the courtship displays of male Club-winged Manakins, Machaeropterus deliciosus, reveal that males produce sustained harmonic tones through interactions among oscil...
